How do I replace the PGWS voice .wav files with the .wav files from PGWS Tom Tom download? It doesn't work in Explorer. |

What exactly are you trying to do?
Presumably you have unzipped the downloads?
Which voices exactly are you trying to replace as your post seems to indicate that you are trying to replace one lot with the same lot. |

I have TomTom voice alerts which I wish to use instead of the ones for my Nuvi 2599. They include a siren and "warning, Gatso ahead, speed limit......
I prefer them to the alerts for the Nuvi. If I try a simple "cut and paste" I get a warning telling me I can't do that. Hope you can help. (Win 10) |

The Garmin voice alerts need to be WAV.
Have a look at the properties of the WAV files that are downloaded with the camera package from here and convert your TT ones to the same format. I would think Audacity will probably do the job.
I know Adobe Audition could probably do them all in one hit under batch mode but I've never used Audacity.
What you are trying to do sounds do-able to me but may require some work. _________________ DashCam:

Please tell us the exact error message that you are getting to enable 'us' to help further. Filename is indeed crucial to Garmin but I assume the OP is aware of this. _________________ DashCam:

Yes, Audacity can alter the bitrate of the wav files.
It has a batch processing ability - called Chains.
