|
|
ive only had my garmin for a month
however on at least 3 different routes the woman has told me to turn the wrong direction completely different to wot they map is showing
the other day i was meant to turn right she said turn left-there was no confusing roads just a straight turn
why does this keep hapening?
luckily ssmeone was with me and said the map is showing right so i took it which was the right way but if i had been alone i would have followed her direction
i think these new navs were meant to be better |

might be worth reinstalling the voice files... if you use webupdater to update the firmware wit will ask if you want to check for other updates it may have a newer set of voice files.
if not then phone garmin, freephone, and ask them what they plan on doing!

Another tip is to rebuild the voice file. To do this change the voice to English US and then back to English UK. It'll take a while to do each change but it might work. |

Is that the same, though, for units like the 310?
My i3 would behave as you suggest, but if I flip-flopped languages on my C510, I wouldn't get any of the processing (at least as far as the unit GUI informs me) that I would on my i3.
I'm not sure all the language handling is the same on the streetpilots as compared with the i3. |

Probably not knowing my luck. Was just a SITD, really. |
