The PocketGPSWorld.com Expo comes to Sandown Park Racecourse on Saturday 21st April from 10am to 4pm.
The PocketGPSWorld.com Expo is the largest dedicated SatNav/Mapping event in the World. It is a face-to-face forum allowing you to touch and feel the equipment as well as chatting to industry specialists. As always, people from all the over World will be in attendance - it's a fantastic excuse for a spring break at Sandown Park in leafy Surrey!??
Our Hosting Sponsor will be Navman, Mapping Sponsor Navteq, and Premium Sponsors confirmed so far include TomTom, Garmin, Ordnance Survey, TeleAtlas, CoPilot, Navigon, Via Michelin, Magellan and iGO.
As usual we will be holding a raffle with some fantastic prizes including several donated navigation systems and the proceeds will this year be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital’s GOSH appeal.
Entry is free of charge. but attendees are required to pre-register. There is ample parking available at the racecourse and the site is easily accessed from the A3 and M25.
To reserve your FREE places please do the following:
1. Email expo2007@PocketGPSWorld.com
2. Include your name
3. The approximate number of people who wish to attend (no names necessary)
4. If you are in the GPS Industry please let us know what company you work for, even if you are not attending in an official capacity
5. Please use the forums and not email for questions or comments
As a courtesy, we will be sending out confirmation emails, but because many large ISPs mistakenly block a lot of legitimate emails thinking they are spam your confirmation email may not be delivered. It may also have been filtered on your computer. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please check your junk/deleted mail folders. Also, please watch for news here on the forums. That said, everyone that replies before the 31st March is guaranteed a free place.
Please print this confirmation email as a proof of your invitation and bring it with you on the day.

Several hundred have already signed up for the show.
There should be enough space for everyone who wants to join us, but just in case, please make sure to let us know (using the email in the top post) if you're coming ASAP. _________________ Robert Brady |

It there going to be a meet and greet the evening before the event? Would be nice to put names to faces in a social environment over a few bevvy's. And is there anyone we should avoid, lest we be nursing struggling livers and kidneys the next day? |

Ladies and Gents,
I will be travelling down from Andover in Hampshire on the day unless I get a lift with someone else. Happy to car share.

I think there's an outside chance that you may find at least one of us in the bar on Friday night _________________ Robert Brady |

We have held them up North before. Once in the Lake District and once in Edinburgh. Sadly the Edinburgh one was not well attended. These events cost a great deal of money to put on and the big exhibitors dislike locations too far away because of the logistics involved in transporting their stands and kit.
If we could guarantee a healthy attendance then we'd love to but at the moment the risk is too great. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I'd vote for that!
Only been member for a few years, only been to one meeting - Edinburgh.
Seen the Mods comment on Edinburgh. It was hardly surprising attendance was low having it that far north! The lakes meeting also alienated the south. Maybe 1 hour from Mcr but thats' got to be 4 hours+ from London.
By north I mean Manchester, maybe Leeds, at least once! Maybe as far south as Stoke or Birmingham but to have it at the extremes rules people out each time. For me to travel to Sandown is 200 mile and 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours. Edinburgh was no better. Please consider North or midlands for the future.
Finally, Is there a list of exhibitors available, that may swing it for those in 2 minds? Sorry if its stated elsewhere.
Really hope Sandown all goes well and is well attended.

Take my advice mate and get yourself the speed camera database on your device (or start taking 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours for such trips). _________________ Dennis
