Iphone update to include gps of a sort.

Just found some details of the new 1.1.3 update for the iphone. Amongst the details there is an update to the google maps program that allows you to locate you current position using mobile telecomunication mast triangulation. NOT GPS. Looking at the video and the specs it would appear to be a little crude, and inaccurate, but if all you've got is your phone in a unfamiliar location then I'm sure it's better than nothing.

it works on ANY mobile that google maps will run on. it runs on my pda.

quite handy if you don't have gps.
