the only way i can think of is to use a program called mapsource which comes bundled with metroguide software..(not free !)...you find the place you want on the maps make a waypoint and download it to the i3...or actually go to the place and mark it on the i3 favorites.... _________________ *************************** |

thanks zogman...... I didnt relise that if you were in a particular spot you could add that location and name it and then save it to your favorites.
I'm I right in thinking that is the case??
Also is there any free software out there that I could try adding a location that you know off?
Many thanks,

To add a place, hold the scroll whell in and it will save to favourites, you then name it.
Another possible way would be to create a POI file with the co-odinates in and navigate by using custom points. |

Hi Paul, Loads of threads on these forums about how to install and creat POIs. Just have a look in the Garmin Streetpilot forum. |

If you download some POI files from MaFt's site and open the CSV files you can see the format.
You could then get co-ordinates from mapsource?...and create your own CSV POI file. |
