download help please

Hi, I am trying to download the speed camera database and not getting far, when I click on the download all I get is the download box flashing on the screen, I relise this is a computer problem, not gps but I hope you can help as Im not too bright on computers and I would really like this addon on my TTG, thanks Steve.

Which download box flashes? Do you get as far as Windows asking where you want to save the file to . . .?

As soon as I click to download the box flashes and the only way to stop it is to press Esc.

I can't replicate this myself. I'm wondering, do you have your firewall and/or anti-virus settings so high it won't let you download the file?

If you can download files elsewhere it's probably too techy for me! ' Sad

When I click on the the 'dowload the current database here' a box opens called 'File Dowload' with the question 'do you want to open or save this file'.

I would always 'Save'.
Then a new box opens called 'Save As'
The 'file name' is usually already filled in.
The 'file type' is usually already filled in.
Therefore the only real choice you have is 'Save in' ---Mine always selects 'Downloads' but you can choose any folder you want!

Now click on 'Save'. Depending on the speed of your download[internet connection] the download will be a minute or seconds.

Ok must be my computer if I delete temp internet files I am able to download the database again but as soon as the download is complete the box starts this flashing on and off again and I cant do anything with it.
