Explanation of DB download

Hello!

To start with thanks for the great DB :D

I was just wondering if someone could tell me what each of the files is for (eg specs, temp), and then why there is a speedzoned Directoryas well.

I am using the DB with a TomTom Go.

SPECS = The new system first launched in Northampton that takes your photo as you pass under gantry 1 then another phot a few miles further on. It can then calculate your average speed over that section. Nasty.

TEMP = Temporary camera installations, e.g. Road works.

MOBILE = Safety Partnership camera van and police traffic regular haunts.

GATSO = Gatso and Truvelo speed camera locations

REDLIGHT = Traffic light cameras

CONTINENTAL = Locations on the continent

The speed zoned files are a new version, each camera has speed information so that with those systems that allow it you can configure warnings based on speed i.e. 'WARNING GATSO 30' etc.

UK SpeedTraps is a great site for info on all the systems out there.
