Sad
I have a TTG with the 128Mb SD card supplied. I would like to delete the non English voises from the card to make space for the safety camera data files. Can anybody advise on which files I can delete and where they can be found?

Cheers

You can use the CD provided with the TTG... hook it up via the USB cable provided with your PC. And you'll see the option to add/remove the voices.

Hi.

I deleted the foreign voices and that clears plenty of space - BUT - not enough space if you then find you want to add on the postcode search which is REALLY useful. So, just bought a Kingston 512MB card, and hope to get it all swapped over. (Just found out I need a reader/writter before I can do that though). I suppose point is, I think you may well end up using a 'bigger' card anyway...

No, you don't need a reader.

Connect TTG to PC, as detailed in handbook, and drag all the contents of the 128 card to a temp folder on the PC.

Switch off TTG, swap cards, switch on TTG and copy every thing from the PC back to the card. That way you won't have to activate again.

Hi Boris,

Don’t worry about buying the card reader. I would expect that you can transfer data much quicker via a card reader than via the TTGO.

I can copy/write nearly 1GB of data to and from a CF card in just over 4 minutes. Before I had a card reader, installing a map of 100MB via MS ActiveSync would take about 20 to 25 minutes.

Regards,

To install the France Map on to a SD card while in the TTG takes about 22 mins.

I suppose it's down to a question of convenience and choice.
