What size SD card have you got? The 128Mb supplied in the UK may not have enough room on it. The 5Mb .ov2 may be too much.

It may seem a daft question but how many WA codes can you see?

The TTG will by default will show you only the nearest few by default.

If you enable the POI you should be able to see them all on the map display. If you can't, there must have been only a partial loading of the POI file - very strange. In the original there are quite a few different codes.

Try searching for some that you can't see on the screen. As stated it will only show the ones nearest you.

When typing in the postcode, don't forget the space and ignore any "PoI not found" messages until you have typed the whole code in.

The 1st way to use the Post Codes is to go -

Navigate to... / Points of interest / Post Code / tap 'Keyboard' / type in full Post Code including space.

There will be a pause while TTG searches the file - I've never found it longer than 30 secs.

TTG will then display the Post Code, with the distance 'as the crow flies'. Do crows fly in straight lines?

OR

TTG will display No POI found!

The 2nd way is to use Browse Map -

go to Browse Map / Find (the mag glass at bottom) / Points of interest / Post Code / tap 'Keyboard' / type in full Post Code including space.

Once again you have to wait for the message, as above. Then the browse map will display the location of the Post Code if it finds it. The only difference is that it displays, on the map, all of the Post Codes in that file!! If you don't need them displayed all the time you will have to deselect them in the options.

If you still can't find what you want - go to 'Maintain POI' in Change Preferences and set the 'Post Codes NW' to display. If you then Browse Map again you should see loads of icons all over the NW area.

If you don't you will probably have to reload the file from your PC, as it would appear to be incomplete.

Good luck

Richard

Tap the blue 'quadrant button' and choose Navigate to ...

I appear to have had a bad moment there!!

This line should follow -

deselect them in the options.

and be before -
If you still can't find what you want - go to 'Maintain POI' in Change

Glad you found that the NW is a little larger now!!

Richard

You should find 15 Post Codes in NW file.

They are:
BB-BL-CA-CH-CW-FY-L-LA-M-OL-PR-SK-TF-WA-WN
Does that help?

Just like to say thanks to Richard for the info given on searching POI's. I was just scrolling down the screen and thought the postcodes were incomplete as I couldn't find the ones I wanted. Use the keyboard option - which I handed sussed works 200 times better. Thanks again great forum!
