Hi

I've just installed the Gatso files in my iPAQ 4150 with SmartST V3, and I'm most impressed with their performance. However I can't find any guidance on how or where to install the wav files. I'd be very grateful if anyone could advise me.

Also, is there any way to adjust settings like warning distance after the files are in the iPAQ?

Thanks for a most useful forum.

Jim

Unfortunately you can't install those wav files as you can only have one warning sound for an active POI. However on the PPC version you can change this default sound to one of your own with a bit of fiddling but the same sound will play for all active POIs

If you decide to try it, locate the cosmicl.wav file. It should be in the following directory:
/Program Files/Navman/SmartST Pro/Sound/
Replace it with your own wav sound but you must call it cosmicl for it to work!

You can adjust the settings for each individual custom POI group by going to 'Setup' and tapping the 'Active POIs' tab. select your POI in the drop down box and make the necessary changes to the 'Active POI Options'. Tap OK to save the changes.

Many thanks for the info. I've now been able to insert the "Approaching Gatso" file, and it works! I guess this means that I'll get the same message for all other active POIs, but there aren't many of them and I can live with that.

You can disable sound and visual warning for individual custom POI groups.
