sd cards for tomtomgo

Hi,

I am new to the great world of tomtomgo. I have a few SD cards from my digital camera and wanted to set up a card with the bundled European maps. Unfortunately my tomtomgo wont recognise the cards. Is there an enhanced spec for SD cards for tomtomgo? I have noticed that the card provided has an extra contact adjacent to the 'nothed' corner, whereas the cards I already have do not.

Are you sure your cards are SD? Sounds more like MMC cards - those won't work.

If the card does not have the contact under the corner as you said then they are MMC cards, although SD cards are the same physical size as MMC cards not all devices can use them and vice versa.

Your TomTom Go can only use Sd cards.
