Has anyone else noticed that the TTG will typically think that you are on a roadway underneath a bridge while your driving over the bridge?
I'm not talking about small bridges over roadways, but something over a large body of water.

The TTG will plot the course over the bridge, but while your on the bridge over the portion on land, it will think your on the roadways underneath.
The TTG typically tells me to make a left or right turn on the bridge.
This would be akin to telling the customer the phrase "Why don't I jump off the bridge"

it's even worse here, with all these intertwined highway intersections. Since street navigation maps DO NOT include altitude information, and the VDOP anyhow most of the time is bigger than the road height difference, it's just impossible for these programs to tell where exactly you are when streets are crossing on different levels.

Live with it. For now.

It's not just TTG that does this. I was in a colleagues Volvo with the expensive built in sat-nav which did the same thing heading out of Glasgow. It also took us three times round the block from the hotel first!! Rolling Eyes

I used to use the Pocket CoPilot with my Ipaq and i never ran into this issue.
I also had a chance to ride in my friends older Lexus GS400 and he didn't have that issue.
Perhaps in one or two scenarios, but it's consistently happening on nearly every bridge.
