Guys, I've been trying to put some POI databases on to my TTGo but having very little luck.

I was able to download the postocde, speed camera files as well as others without any problems whatsoever. I unzipped the files and then dragged the .ov2 and .bmp file into the GB Map on TTGo and voila.

BUT

Now, it doesn't seem to be working! I've added many new POIs etc, and it is dragged into the GB map folder absolutely fine - but its not there when you go to check on the actual TTGo unit itself.

So does anyone have any clue where these files are going and whether I can access them - I have 128MB spare memory and it is definitely showing up on the PC but not on the Unit.

Cheers in advance!

What are you using to transfer the files - the USB cable or a Card Reader?

The USB cable. The unit shows the transfer (the flashing card thing) and it shows it present on the PC too. But when I remove the cable and reset the unit - nothing there!

After you transferred the OV2 and BMP files you don't need to do a soft reset. What you need to do is to go into POI management and set the check mark for your new POI Group to include them in the display.

Downloading POIs does not automatically display them.

Arghhh!

I don't know whats going on!

I've checked the POI Management features in 'Maintain' and its not even listed! I've checked EVERY conceivable place on the unit but its just not there! But when I connect it to the PC, there it it, sitting there in the GB Maps!!

Arghhhh again!

I tried Oldie's advice of checking the bmp logo, but it was a small, black and white 22x22 bmp so thats fine, same name etc etc.

So what am I doing wrong??

Thanks by the way for all the help so far....
Confused
