Hi,
Sorry, as i KNOW this must be old ground
Background:
Was going to get a Road Angel to cover the cameras my Bel 980 radar detector was incapable of warning about. Other Lotus owners showed me PDA's that had GPS camera detection (including specs) that were LESS to buy than a Road Angel. I decided i did not need a PDA, and that the GO was ideal. So here i am, GO is in the post on its way .
The primary use of the unit for me will be camera detection/warning.
What i want is an Idiots guide (assume nothing!!!) on how to put the camera POI stuff on the GO when it comes. I'm kinda hoping there is a link to an old topic you can just send me to, rather than ask someone to write it from scratch.
What i want is from the box, add the info, to the car.
Any feedback would be great :P
(nice forum BTW, a type i am well used to) |

Hi Gingernut777,
Sniff gave the same URL as you, 6 hours before your post. I just thought that you might like to know. |

OMG 8O
Thank You.
Cannot believe how easy you made that for me.
There is 100% no way i could have done that without your help,
The unit now does everything i wanted it to (and everything the road angel can do), but i have Sat Nav too!
Today was a GOOD day 8)
PS, how often is the database changed?, From reading other threads i assume downloading every month or so would do?
(i assume i delete the old OV files and add the new ones)
Thank again.
Paul :P |
