How do I find say for example pickering north yorkshire without an address after entering pickering you cannot go any further any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Just enter 'Pickering' again as a street name. Up will come the name with a little blue building icon by it. This will route you to the town centre. (Mmm ... not sure if I noticed one when I was last there).
