Is it just me having problems, or is TT really bad at using the GPRS through mobiles?

I never have problems downloading e-mails through the GPRS connection of my Nokia 6600, but TT Traffic is such a pain to try and get the updates. Generally I have to reset the phone and my 2210 a couple of times before it will actually download an update. Even then, 5 minutes later, it will often fail to connect. Evil or Very Mad

It could be my phone, I do have rather old firmware on it, but I'm having trouble finding someone nearby that can update that for me. I think I should be able to get it done on Oxford street next week and I'll see if that helps the Traffic updates.

Does anyone else have these problems?

I have the same issues - especially on motorways. I think that GPRS has difficulties at high speed because of the changing signal fixes

Could be the phone...I use a Siemens S55 and it works pretty much all the time! O2 coverage is the only sticking point!

Its rather odd... the last 3 times I've tried to use Traffic, I initially tried to download from the actual Traffic screen, rather than the Navigator screen... and it's worked fine Confused The first time, it worked for about 2 hours while I traveled down the M1. It has never lasted longer than a couple of 5 min updates before.

Since that first time, I have since updated first while in Traffic view, then switched to Nav view and it seems to work fine... Is it just a co-incidence?

Myabe your signature is out of date, but have you tried the 3.05T version of Traffic?

At the time of posting, I was on 3.04T. I then realised there was a 3.05T with one of the known issues fixed being a problem that sometimes only allowed a certain number of connections to the server... So far, all seems fine.

So the connection problem on 3.05T is fixed?? The other important thing is does the data used differ in anyway from the trial version. Personally i think the data is not quite up to scratch
Any views??

I'm not sure there was a connection problem with 3.05T was there? My problem was on 3.04T...
