I have managed to download speedcams redlight cams etc to my TT Go but all are shown on the map with "?". How do I get the correct bmp to work please. Please be gentle with me as I am a mac user (SAD!!!) and am having to borrow a PC to download. (Windows ME)
Thanks in anticipation.

Bertie

Have a look at this , It should explain what to do

http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-go-poi.php

In essence put the database and the BMP in the map directory but make sure that the BMP has the exactly the same name as the database file.

IE

PocketGPS_UK_GATSO.ov2 goes with PocketGPS_UK_GATSO.bmp

Hope this helps

One other thing

You must have Software Version 4.40 to use custom POIs

Bertie,

Once you have loaded the system 4.40 from a borrowed PC, there is no problem at all in using you Mac to drag and drop the PoI's from the Mac to the open window of the TTG (mine comes up as "NO NAME"). The .ov2 and .bmp files must have exactly the same name before the file extension. They also both need to be in the GB map folder. Ignore the .xls and .csv files.

Just remembered. I had a bit of a problem with some other files. I'm not sure but I think I disconnected the USB lead while the blue SD card icon on the TTG screen was still flashing.

Final query. You have got enough spare space on the SDcard to store these files? The 128Mb that comes with the unit is almost full and you have to delete (drag to trash) most of the foriegn voices. You will need to do this to upgrade to 4.40 anyway, I think - I did mine 2 weeks ago and I've forgotten the order I did them in already......

You can see the foreign voices as .VIF files. I just left the english male and female (ENGM.VIF & ENGF.VIF).
