I think I might stretch my old Go 700 life for another year and just update the UK map's for that time and maybe invest in a later model at that time. Does anyone know if there are boffins at GPSW working on a fix to get round the TT blocking our cameras alerts ?

Sadly, it cant be done, woodchip. TT have locked down their system so tight, it is not possible to add useful 3rd party speed camera POIs. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Shame that. Not ever used any other platform so dont know of any compatable provider that does allow and just as good performance as TT but will have to investigate methinks, anyway thanks for all your inputs,
I know that this may not be a good fix for you or anybody else but I use an old smartphone with the CamerAlert & Waze apps on it in conjunction with my old TT940 (with very, very, old maps) which has an up-to-date camera download.
The smartphone is dedicated to the car, it does nothing other than run those two apps.
Waze has the latest maps, routes and traffic. CamerAlert has the latest Camera locations.
Although there is no Sim card in the old, car-dedicated smartphone, the WiFi is switched on and it piggy-backs off of the Hot-Spot on my everyday phone.
As I drive along, Waze gives me the perfect route to follow, CamerAlert app "pings" in the background and alerts me to the latest camera location and if i need a visual confirmation, i look at the old 940, however, I don't always bother and the 940 is becoming increasingly superfluous. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599
