.... and fixed:
Latest version is 2017.01.19.57
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4kpnpbwlk6k2e78/CSV%20to%20GPX%20Installer.zip?dl=0
If you don't use the text change screen then you don't need this update if you're running v56.
Note: If you install this version and you haven't updated since last year then recopy the help files and the WAV and BMP files as there are some changes.
Then read the installation change in the helpfile as it has changed slightly in that you are forced to select your Working Directory before launching the program. _________________ Satnav:

I have just started using the CSV to GPX converter. All is working as expected except for the camera Icons on the screen. When I am approaching a camera the icon looks correct but as I get closer a blue square is displayed in the middle of the icon which overlays the speed digits so now I can see a red circle with a blue square in the middle of it but I cant read the speed.
I am using an approach warning and an over speed warning.
After I pass the camera the blue square disappears and I can see the speed digits again.
I have tried different sizes of icons, all sizes get overlaid by the blue square but the blue square does not change in size with the icon size.
Is this normal or have I done something wrong? _________________ Paul |

That is classic behaviour of still having the Garmin Cyclops database active.
The best wwy round that is to connect the device to a PC and remove the unneeded .GPI from the POI folder. _________________ Satnav:

Found it after you pointed me in the right direction thank you.
I didn't have the Cyclops.GPI files on the machine but I had selected the option in CSV to GPX Converter which causes it to create an overspeed.gpx file. I didn't have an overspeed.bmp file to go with the overspeed.gpx so POILoader seems to have allocated a default blue square icon which is displayed on top of the speed camera icon when you get within the overspeed distance (even if you are travelling below the overspeed limit).
I have now created a 1 pixel magenta bmp file, called it overspeed.bmp and put it in the same folder as the overspeed.gpx file.
This bmp file is invisible when it gets displayed in place of the default blue square. Problem fixed. _________________ Paul |

Is it invisible because it's 1 pixel, or because it's magenta? (serious question) |

Majenta. Garmin treats that colour as invisible. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

That's interesting about it selecting a random blue dot. When I tested the separate overspeed facility I don't remember getting any random overlay. _________________ Satnav:

That's why I asked. However, some time ago I made some round icons that obviously ended up on a square background, so I filled the background with magenta and got nice round icons on a square magenta background. |

I think the magenta has to be a specific RGB and even then I'm not convinced it works on all Garmins. I think the 1x1 is the key. _________________ Satnav:

Well. magenta is pretty well defined as 255,0,255 RGB |

I made it an 8 bit bmp file. The RGB colour is 255,0,255. I guessed that a 1 pixel file would be invisible even if the colour didn't work as transparent.
The image in the centre shows the blue square (I was using a large icon for this experiment)

Yep, and that works on all Garmins AFAIK. Definitely on all handhelds, and probably all Garmins. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I'll have a bash later as well.
The problem is that being an overspeed issue you have to meddle to get the armchair test to work.
Manually change the camera to be 10mph or so lower than the GPS simulator that doesn't speed. _________________ Satnav:

Magenta, done carefully, does work.
I've applied it to the top left corner of this BMP:
I'll create a dummy Overspeed .BMP, test it, then add it into the download. _________________ Satnav:
