As we have many Garmin experts on the thread; one question: what setting is used on "Coordinate Format" with a Garmin Sat Nav to give a position that is needed for Camera Positions? on my device to name but a few, we have- UTM; US National Grid; Swedish Grid; Swedish Grid RT-90; MGRS etc etc. The default is h ddd mm.mmm' No European as is required. I tried the converter on say; N 52 54.965' W 001 09.847' and it placed me about 70 miles out. |

Thanks Kremmen; but doesn't look as if there is any choice that resembles that, unless it is offered with some obscure name for it... |

Thanks, I new it was decimal degrees needed, just could not find the exact choice on the Garmin menu; however, having gone through most of them now, for anyone else who wants to know the correct choice is expressed as:- h ddd.ddddd with a degree symbol on the end.... |

Go through all the options till one works. That's my theory as well. _________________ Satnav:

Garmin Converter still working a treat. Can't see how the 'redspeed' indicator works/shows. Have re-downloaded, but does not seem to be any different.... |

It does work. I tested it in anger on a trip to the south coast on saturday.
For it to work you need to make sure you don't use the alternative text feature. That is really for the Merc built in unit that requires all the warning text to be alpha characters.
Also, make sure you have unpacked and saved the RedSpeed icons and sound files from the folders in the zip package.
At the very end of processing it opens all the Gatso gpx files. It then writes out 2 files. If the word 'Gatso' is found it writes back to the original file but if the word Redspeed is found it writes to a new file.
If successful this is reflected in the left hand gpx box where the new Redspeed.gpx files will be seen. _________________ Satnav:

The version I have loaded is :- 2013.07.22.2116 is that the correct one? Thanks..
PS: Why, when I download the Liz Whittaker voice only files from the site, it includes the three beeps before the warning? I do download the .wav files. |

Nope, the latest version is at the end of the Converter sticky thread and will give a version of 2015.10.xx
This latest version is a Microsoft ClickOnce application that does install slightly differently than normal 'installer' apps.
This latest one is a zip file from my Dropbox that unpacks the installer plus all the ancilliary files needed for the RedSpeed conversion. It also has an updated help file that hopefully will explain the latest changes clearly. If not let me know and I'll update it.
At the moment I've only provided an updated 44x44 icon set. If you find those too intrusive I can work on the 22x22 and 24x24 sets. _________________ Satnav:

When downloading from address below I choose 'Voice only'; when played they have the annoying bleeps before. I am trying to use this set of .wav files because the ones that you have the option to download from the Cam Update section refer to Gatso's as Static. I prefer to know which are Gatso's.

The new version installs totally differently. Instead of \Program Files\ it goes to your own unique User data area.
It does make for a quicker install and uninstall and is still uninstalled via the normal method. _________________ Satnav:
