Good Morning,

Please excuse if this has been covered before, BUT I am at a loss and would dearly like some help advice please.

I have just bought a Garmin 2699 nuvi ltm -d , I used to have a TomTom go 910,

The route I will to plan is from the IOW to Ashill in Thetford But not using the M25, I want to go Winchester,Newbury,Didcot,Oxford,Bicester,Bletchley,Cambridge,Newmarket,Thetford, etc,

The option I used where to,categories,Address,,postcode, house number, I then select routes which should give me options for other routes? but come up with no other routes which is wrong surely?

Sorry for such a long drawn out thread.

Sam

I've replied to your PM, but just seen this post.

I suspect it's not offering other routes as they don't make sense, given your routing and avoidance options. If you want to go the way you want then you'll need to put in some via points.

You can do this two ways. Use the trip planner app or do a where to and initially enter Ashill. Press Go so you're nuvi has that route active. Now do another where to and select a point on the route you want and then go again. You'll be asked if you want to add it to the active route or start a new route. Select the active route option.

Adding Bicester gave me the route you seem to want.

Thanks, for that but I panicked and called them and had a little moan, I was then told that the way to go was using the trip options in apps, which is what I did but selected Oxford and got the result I wanted, still having a problem with basecamp though!

Basecamp is easy with a bit of practice, if you have a particular problem open another thread and I'm sure someone here can help.

I quite like the idea of planeing a route. Saves driving it. Twisted Evil
