Those were just examples, you can call your categories whatever you want
To create a category having saved a favourite do a where to, favourites then tap the i icon, then tap the 3bar icon top left. Hit edit. Choose Categories and either select from the ones offered or enter your own then hit Done.
Do your colleagues also have Garmins, if so you can pass them a .gpx file. If not you'll need to convert the .gpx file to the appropriate format.
Worth adding there is a limit to the number of favourites you can have, so you may have to load your current list via POIs as their number is relatively unlimited. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Ahh, didn't realise I could add a new category just by typing. It doesn't show up in the list, so I guess I will have to wait until I have 12 of them before it shows.

I think that what MaFt's post meant is - don't expect a proximity alert to sound, if you are near a poi without embedded proximity data (eg @30 signifying a speed limit).
The usual reason for lack of sound warning, is the sox.exe file in the wrong place. It belongs in the same folder as PoiLoader.exe (ie NOT in the folder of camera data).
Also, some versions of sox.exe have been found not to work.
Find the one posted by MaFt on this forum, which is known to work.

#2, Disable Smartlink on your phone. Garmin must be linking to it. I've also found that Smartlink takes preference if it can see it.
What's left on your list? _________________ Satnav:

I've had to uninstall it as there was no option to disable.
Just need to get these sounds working now and i'll be happy _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

Smartlink under Android can just be disabled under Android application management.
Sounds, is that the cameras sounds? If so search out sox.exe here and follow the instructions. _________________ Satnav:

No option to disable it on my S4.
I have downloaded sox (the working version). I get a load of verification errors in Win 7 which I allow (about 4 or 5), so not sure if they upload or not? Changed all files to wav as well, so I can't see a problem, but there appears to be a underlying one somewhere.

It's not an error message per se, it is a signature thing again, and it is in the correct location, having read the FAqs several times and hoping it's right. There is something simple I am missing though, and using the rote preview mode is dead slow .

Check what Kremmen said earlier: the files in your cameras folder should line up in threes, with exactly identical filenames but three different extensions, eg
[camerafile1].bmp
[camerafile1].csv
[camerafile1].wav
etc.
In the GPS simulator / demo mode, you should be able to scroll the map and Set your Location to a place near to a speed camera icon. Then you can test a short route passing over the icon, to check for a sound warning.

I have done that with the naming, it is exactly the same way as it is done with TomTom units. They are the same file names as downloaded from pgpsw site. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

Seem to have sussed this now and it was something simple. I had all my files in a pgpsw sub folder, so the unit would have been looking in pocketgpsword/pocketgpsworld_gatso*.* instead of just pocketgpsworld_gatso*.*. Didn't think it would affect the function, but it obviously does. I have had the gatso, mobile and unverified working, so they should all work now, but the distance is quite a way. The sooner I learn how to use the CSV converter file, the better for me.
Thanks for all the input everyone

My CSVConverter allows the distances to be set for each camera type. I have 6 and 14 seconds as that's roughly what my old Talex used to be for first warning and second warning if you are still over the limit. I reckon Talex got that right.
I have all my camera files in my D:\PGPSW\ folder so that POILoader uses that name by default so the resulting file is PGPSW.GPI for identification.
Once you've got it working subsequent camera downloads take seconds to process and install.
Download camera file and point the 'save' location to D:\PGPSW\
Click to overwrite my existing 'cameras.zip' which renames the original
CSVConverter - 'Process' - check number of cameras for reference
POILoader - all left as default after first run but check number of cameras uploaded to unit matches.
Proper Job

Cheers. It was the firewall limiting the full installation, so I bypassed it. I had a quick look last night, but was all Garmin'd out by that time
Will take a look over the weekend and have another play _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

It's quite basic but it does the job it was designed for. I have a few enhancement requests but they are quite complex and finding the time to investigate is my current issue. _________________ Satnav:
