For the last month or so some, but not all, YouTube videos play sound but no picture, even some that I've uploaded myself, e.g. this one, which played OK when I uploaded it six weeks ago. I don't recall making any significant changes on my pc.
OS is Windows 7, browser is Firefox 12.0, Flash Player is v11.2.202.235.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks. _________________ Anita

No suggestions, but the clip you linked to works for me in both IE and FF 12.0 same flash player as you. W7 Ultimate 32bit |

Didn't think to try IE, so thanks for reminding me, M8TJT. Works fine in IE8! BTW I'm using W7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Thanks, MaFt, I'll try uninstalling/reinstalling Flash as you suggest. _________________ Anita

Surely Ultimate's better than Premium? And my dad's been dead for 25 years, so yours probably is bigger.
After reinstalling Flash Player all the videos I've tried so far are playing OK in FF12 - but IE8 is failing with "The Adobe Flash Player or an HTML5 supported browser is required for video playback"! At least it's better that way round as I always use Firefox.
Thanks for the advice. _________________ Anita

Why the hell isn't there an edit in this thread?
Try 'upgrading' to IE9 Anita like wot I've got. Or perhaps, on second thoughts, don't bother |

I hadn't bothered to 'upgrade' to IE9 because I virtually never use IE, but I might give it a try, thanks. _________________ Anita
