How much does it cost? I can only see a "From 9.95" (Euros) on the website - If I investigate further, it just wants me to sign up...
Doesn't say if thats 9.95/month/year/whatever.
Anyone? |

quote from TomTom website (link: http://www.tomtom.com/products/section.php?ID=1&Section=4&Language=1: )
All TomTom Navigator 3 purchases and upgrades will be offered a free one-month trial subscription to TomTom Traffic. After that, pay just €49 per year or €9.95 per month for this time-saving feature..
According to xe.com today, 49 euros = £32.89 for a year.
I've just installed the trial, and I'm pretty impressed, although I haven't been on a long journey / encountered any hold ups to test it properly yet. If it works as well as it appears to, I'm be signing up for the service - I'm happy to pay the equivalent of £2.74 a month to avoid jams... |

Got my stuff set-up yesterday and tried it.
Seems to work like a dream.
With regards to the quality of the traffic data anything is better than half hour updates from Radio 5/Talksport or having to check out local FM stations. I always find it a pain that we have RDS TP/TA that will interrupt CDs but no one can build a radio that will check this will tuned to AM.
So to me the TomTom traffic is an extra add-on to the info I already have.
The only issues I seem to have are more Pocket PC related when BT connections are lost and it tries to reconnect seems to get alll upset.
Also the connection to the phone with a PPC is not nice quick - click about 5 different things. BT to the GPS unit is much slicker. _________________ TomTom 720 GO

I shall not be subscribing to TT Traffic, as it's not very reliable.
I find that Trafficmaster via Traffic-i on my Nokia 6600 is far superior, along with RAC traffic news on WAP pages. |

Is the data the same on the trial server and "subscribed service" server? |
