|
|
So I bought a used Holux GPSlim 236 and it works on my old Symbian Nokia phone. Now I have a HTC Desire running Android 2.2.
I checked the firmware version of the Holux using sirfdemo and I got this
which I think means that I have firmware 3.1.1 which is good, right?
I can pair the device with the HTC desire and I have tried both Bluetooth GPS (from android market) and bluegps4droid (from sourceforge)
Neither software works with the Holux. With bluegps4droid I get "Cannot start: too many connection problems"
Any ideas anyone? |

I tried a few Android apps.
Bluetooth GPS Provider is free on android market and seems to work well so that's what I'm using now.
You can make it turn the bluetooth on/off automatically and it's also scriptable using tasker. |
