|
|
With CamerAlert set to use the iPhone speaker, after an incoming telephone call is received and the iPhone's speaker is selected as the sound source for the call.
When the call is ended and the iPhone returns to CamerAlert, the CamerAlert app is now silent - regardless of where the volume is set - whilst visual alerts continue to appear on the screen as expected.
The CamerAlert app remains silent until it is exited and restarted.
iPhone 4 / CamerAlert 1.2 / iOS 4.1 also encountered with
iPhone 4 / CamerAlert 1.2 / iOS 4.21
This has been experienced on at least four separate occasions. _________________ Andy

<nudge> I would have hoped to have received some kind of response in the four days since posting my message - even if it indicated that I'm completely barking. _________________ Andy

Sorry Andy, missed this one until now.
I'm running the same hardware and it's working as designed for me. Are you using any external car-kit, Bluetooth sound system etc?
And do you have the mute option set to fade or pause? _________________ Darren Griffin |

No, i'm not using an external car kit - i have the iPhone as a standalone unit and bluetooth switched off.
the mute option is set to "Pause" - which i believe is the default for the app
The sound icon remains at wherever the volume was set, but CamerAlert has no sound after the call is ended.
If i exit CamerAlert and restart it, without doing anything else at all, the sound returns to CamerAlert _________________ Andy

We _did_ add some more interruption handling code in the newest version (pending at Apple review atm) - maybe that helps. _________________ Lutz
