You can knock out the other map folders from the device if you need to free up some space I have had to just use the DiskAid utility to view the main folder and remove the ones you don't want - Might not be a bad idea to copy them to the PC first though - Mike |

Thanks for that - I'll do that - (backup) although hopefully as you said before, they're still in itunes if I need clean up and start again. As far as I can see that won't be for OS 3.1 - I've only got a G not GS
Cheers, Mike |

Hi,
I'm trying to download some POIs for my Targa 3520 which, like the iPhone, uses sygic software. Can you tell me how I get txt files to download from the site? Having read your thread if I could get txt files then I should be able to run them thru the sygic POIConverter to produce the upi files I need. |

Welcome to the forum, choose the csv format and these can be opened in notepad or simply alter the file extension using Windows Explorer from csv to txt - Mike |

If you are talking about the free POI files rather than the speed camera database, you would be better off getting the OV2 files, a copy of OV2UPI 2.3 and the POI converter. Run the OV2 files through OV2UPI to create UPI files in 2008 format. Then run these through the POI converter (there is an option at the bottom of the GUI to bulk convert all the UPI files in a folder) to convert them into the current UPI format. |
