My experience is that I need both OS and Euro versions on the PC (OS for OS licensed maps, Euro to calibrate others) but I only need the OS version on my IPAQ - I have been around France, Spain, Malta, Canaries with this setup as well as the UK.

In practice, I rarely use the Euro version as I either get maps with calibration (e.g. GMAPMAKER, OSM-MAP) or use GPSU to calibrate as it's more user-friendly and understands odd Datums (such as European 1950 Spain and Portugal). Either way, I then use MAPC2MAPC to create the .jpr for MM
