I have recently upgraded from a GO300 to an XL V2 (UK and Ireland). I manage to read my old favourites (50+) into POIEdit and export them as a POI file. I then configured the new POI file on my new TomTom (new POI category). I thought I would be able to select Navigate To and select a specific POI within my new POI file directly but instead I have to select my custom POI category from within 'POI Near You' or POI in City' etc and then scroll down the list. Except these lists are limited to the closest 25 POI (I think) so I can't see all entries. I'm wondering if there is an easier way to navigate to a POI within my POI file/category? If not then I will just have to continue to use the Navigate To/Point Of Interest/POI in City/select nearest city to then get appropriate list so I can find the specific POI.

Gary.

It's a bore having that extra step isn't it?

Although it only shows you the nearest 48 locations (8 screens-full), the "Find" button at the bottom of the screen actually searches the entire list.
So if you know the first few letters of the POI/Favourite, you can narrow it down quite quickly.

For example, say you have a POI category of all the Motorway junctions....
You live in London, but want to find Junction 2 of the M60. When you get to that annoying page with "Near Home", "Near you" etc. just tap on ANY of them and then tap "Find".
If you then type "60" it will give you all the M60 junction numbers even though you are nowhere near Stockport/Salford.

Hope that helps!
