Hi,
I have used the viamichelin route planner to get a direction from A-B
This will help me follow the michelin map I bought recently.
I used the POI loader to load the saved route into my Garmin nuvi 250 and the final message said that it was done successfully.
Question:
Not sure where in my Garmin to find this route and how to use it.
Any suggestions please?
p.s. I will try to do the same thing for my other destinations.
Thanks |

Sorry but the Nuvi 250 doesn't support routes so i'm not sure how you would get this to work. |

Are you sure?
I was told otherwise.
I will check again.
Thank you |

Garmins website shows that the 250 doesn't support routes.
On my Nuvi 760 (which does support routes) to load a route you need to go to Tools, My Data, Import Routes and then the routes appear under Tools, Routes. |

Yes, you are right.
I do not see import routes in my garmin 250.
So, how can I adjust my Garmin to show similar route to that on the Michelin map please?
Thank you |

If you set up enough favourites you could try and force a route the same way. Garmin states for the 250
Quote: | Waypoints/favorites/locations: 500
Routes: 0 |
so i believe that means you can have upto max Waypoints, Favourites and Locations in TOTAL, not each.
Try a simple route and see if you can add more than one via point. If so, that's the only way to do it... |

the 200 can only have a single via-point. form memory the 250 is the same unit but with EU maps so i doubt this will be possible unless you do it very manually! ie add each waypoint as a favourite and give them a number for their name - then navigate to #1 and when you arrive then set to navigate to #2 etc...

I have bought the michelin map of France and using their site, I have come up with a route from A to B.
The criteria set when deciding on a route using the viamichelin.co.uk is as follows:
Favour motorways: yes
Avoid tolls: No
Avoid Congestion Charge Zones: yes
Avoid off-road connections (ferry, train etc): No
Allow Border Crossings: yes
What kind of settings do I need to set in my Garmin? i.e. fastest or shortest, etc?
Thank you |
