On a serious note Bob, that is a really tidy job you have done. Have you glued it to the unit or have you somehow wedged it in there? _________________ TT Go 720 (T)

Hi Tom59,
No glue, I remove it as and when. It has small tags at the ends top and bottom, so they silp under the flange. I am very proud of my sun shade.
However, it takes some time to make.
I have sold a few as people do seem to like them. I have been asked can I buy one, but it is was never my intention to sell them as it takes so long to make them so what do you charge?
Regards,
Bob.

Got to say Bob, yours looks cool, sorry Darren but I can't say the same for the Zunzun.
I'd like to see the zunzun in the flesh so to speak _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

I'm not sure looking 'cool' is the point here? The ZunZun solution is cheap and simple and more to the point does what it's designed to do i.e. reduce glare.
There have been a number of previous commercial attempts, Drumma's was superbly executed but at around £15 + postage they simply didn't sell in sufficient numbers.
ZunZun's are cheap and durable enough to be used when needed and stored in the glovebox when not and most importantly are set at a price that makes them cost effective. _________________ Darren Griffin

If they have any sense they will not sell any! They are going to spend all their time in court _________________ TT Go 720 (T)

nice typo.
No, should have been more clear, which is why I would like to see it.
It looks awfully big in relation to the Satnav in the photo, and I was wondering how big it would be in the middle of the dash.
The other one looked more the right size. Agree that the idea is to stop the glare, but aesthetics do play a part. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Hi,
I have also been looking at the picture and it does look big, I think this is because it covers the Satnav completely. I think it is a good idea as it is easy to fit and remove and as Darren said, as it is made of card it can be stored in the glovebox. My sun shade can also be easily fitted and removed, it may not be as durable as it is not made of card but it looks the part and does the job. I have tonight been working on a new version, it is made of the same material, hopefully I will make one up tomorrow and post the picture, Anita I will make sure it is not tooooooo big

Yours is very neat Bob but it relies on the gap between facia and screen. As current units no longer have removable fascias you may need to rethink this?
ZunZun's solution is universal (so far as it will fit a number of different supported devices). I should have the review up today, just need to get some in-car photos, I've given up on waiting for some sun for that part! _________________ Darren Griffin |
