Is there a way of getting cameras and additional POI's on this beast please? I have just bought one but am used to the ease of the TomTom 720 and its speed/camera databases.
Thanks |

The above question has been answered but have another. Is the speed camera database (IGo) on here better than the built in one on the unit? Apparently lots of cameras are missing from the built in one.
I am used to the quality of the TomTom one by the way so that has to be the standard.

If you are using the TT speed cam database as your standard, then set your standards a lot higher and use the PGPSW database. It is much more accurate and up to date and well worth the £19 for a year's subs. |

And yes our database is much better than the one supplied, we know the source and it's not good, full of duplicates, lots of missing cameras and the mobile database is based upon our data from some years ago. It's bad trust me! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren. I will remove theirs and put in ours (I use the term "ours" very loosely having been a member of this site for a few years!!)

I deleted the file in the speed camera folder and installed the IGo database text files fom here. How accurate are they? There are two speed cameras in Gosport and neither of them show up on my map!
I am also using POI Warner and it cannot seem to find my device although Content Manager recognises it. I was trying to put the orignal HP camera file back on but deleted it by mistake when I put the PGPS World ones on. Any idea of where I can get it from please?

This is getting irritating! I deleted the speedcamupdates.spud and another file speedcam.spdb and on restarting the machine, they have been recreated! One has only 8 bytes in it and the other is empty but does this matter. The IGo text files are still in there.
I still don't appear to have any local speed cameras - is the IGo database as populated as the TomTom ones which I had before with my TT 720?
Getting frustrated with this.

The databases contain the same data no matter what device they are intended for. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Do these speed cameras only appear on the map when there is a route detailed? I have tried both the installed speedcams and then removed them and put the ones in from here. Nothing on the map!
Anyone with one of these ipaqs help me please?

Problems gone away for the moment as it is boxed up to go back. Got a looping error message that has made it unusable.

Wish I could be of some help but have never used one, if it is replaced you may be better asking other iGO users? _________________ Darren Griffin |
