I have an iMate Jamin (PDA running windows mobile 5) and also a Talex unit. Does anyone know if I can use the Talex as a GPS reciever and then transfer the data to the iMate via bluetooth or a connection?
If this can be done which is the sowtware to go for? I was thinking of Tom Tom.
I hope I have posted in the right place, new to this forum, thanks. |

I'm pretty sure the Talex can be used as a wired GPS receiver but you'd need the Talex -> serial cable, an iMate -> Serial cable and a Null Modem adapter to connect the two.
By the time you'd bought that lot it'd be cheaper to buy a budget BT GPS. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor

Thanks for your advice and prompt reply Darren. Larger screen as well.
Its just that I saw a taxi using one and thought it would be neat and compact. |
