It will be interesting to see when people start getting these and start complaining of poor reception and dodgy traffic information from Itis.
Or perhaps it will be wonderful. |

When looking at the other language TomTom sites, Netherland and the Italian versions (Select the country from the right hand side of the main header on the TomTom site). The TMC appears on the accessories list with a price of Euro 99.95.
I managed to go all the way through to the point of entering credit card details, and I did not get stopped by a "not available" warning, although my Italian is not so good.

I wrote to Tom Tom with referance RDS-TMs for Go 700 recived a reply No or hard luck on you.
I replied with the following
Thank you for your e-mail
Agian it looks that Tom Tom have lead people down the garden path by letting them buy stuff that is not going to be right.
1, Brought a Tom Tom 700 which can't connect to traffic as it is not a compatable with the phone I have.
2, Now find that TomTom RDS-TMC Receiver will not work on it.
When are you going to tell the truth so as when you products are brought at great expense you find that they do not work witn out spending more money.
Pleaes inform me as to when any thing is going to work with your produce instead of me spending large sums of money on new equipment, but then that how you make fantastic profits.
I look forwrd to your reply. _________________ JohnLittleton |

So does this mean that you can order one from the italian tomtom website and get it delivered to a UK address? |

It looks like it, my address was automatically completed from the TomTom login details.
I would order it from the Netherlands site, it does not have so far to travel to get here.
Cheers

Sorry to double-post.
This has been niggling at me for some time now, the tmc rds receiver has been advertised by MANY different companies over the past 2-3 months, all stating that stock will be available soon.
Now, Easydevices:
http://www.easydevices.co.uk/pp/Dedicated_GPS/TomTom_GO_Accessories/TOMTOM_GO_510_710_910_RDS_TMC_TRAFFIC_RECEIVER.html
Are advertising the tmc rds receiver as "in stock" and next day delivery available. I've ordered one from them on Friday, I also emailed them asking the question is it actually in stock. I have had no reply and will let people know when I do know.
My question is, have companies actually got stock yet? And if so why arn't they shipping it? Please don't post back saying tomtom are rubbish blah blah blah, we all know that their department for products ect isn't that good.
Does anybody know if anybody has stock yet?! It's annoying waiting for something like this, if a company lists something as available and next day delivery, you expect it to be shipped. I'm not pointing fingers at anybody, just the process as a whole.
If there has been problems with the making of the receiver then tomtom should let their customers know.
If anybody form easy devices can answer this question then it would very much be appreciaited. |

Im sure that alot of places will take your money and then say that they will deliver it to you when they dont even have stock, just to secure their £70.
Best thing is order on the phone |

Tomtom service desk said at the beginning of last week that it was being shipped to suppliers at the end of the week - so I think these will be genuine stock.
Someone please post what the reception is like. |

Hi
To answer your question, I ordered my TMC receiver on Sept 28th.
Was told by Easydevices on Friday that it was on its way. Just checked with the delivery firms web site and it is at my local hub and will be deliverd Monday 9th.
Will confirm tomorrow
