Living in the Midlands, but being from Yorkshire, I refuse to pay £3.50 to use the M6 Toll, unless I really need to. Therefore, I've set CP6 to avoid tolls.
This works absolutely fine when planning trips - it just avoids the toll.
However, if you actually drive on the toll road AFTER you've said you don't want to, it just crashes. No warnings, no bleeps, no hunting for a route, it just closes down without warning.

Have you reported it to ALK?
A possible temporary solution might be to set Toll Roads to 'Use If Neccessary' to reduce their selection, and if a toll road is included, set the road to 'Avoid road' in the itinerary. |

I'm wondering if CP6 operates "Avoid Toll roads" by activating blocks at the Toll gates (as in the problem with French motorways). If you are on a road with no possible exit, it would become understandably confused! _________________ nick

Last week, seeing as I needed to be somewhere fast, I forked out £3.50 of my hard earned cash to the M6 Toll. I'd specifically set my CoPilot to "use where necesary" (or something like that) to avoid the crashing of the application when it was set to "avoid"
For the entire time I was on the M6 Toll, Copilot tried to calculate an alternate route - it tracked my progress, but didn't give me any instructions. Only when I trundled onto the M6 proper did it sort itself out.
I suppose I ought to let ALK know.... |

Been on the M6 Toll loads of times with CP correctly tracking me.
I know with CP5 the maps did not have the toll on them - you sure you're maps are updated?
Just a thought - sorry if you've checked.
