Loading New Maps onto Blank Transflash Card for i3

Following my earlier post re Map Data for Canada I have now bought a blank 512 MB Transflash Card and am awaiting delevery of MetroGuide Canada v4. I have studied the Mapsource tutorial on the Garmin site, but after reading Stellamaris' recent post re sound I started to wonder if there is a little more to uploading maps than the Garmin tutorial seems to imply.

I presume the Mapsource software comes with the Mapinstall software on it? If I take out the existing transflash card and put in the new 512 MB card into the i3 I presume it will copy the maps (hopefully all, as the total is well under 512 MB) onto the new card when I link it to the computer? I hadn't realised that the voices are stored on the card. Does the Mapsource software also contain voice files for uploading to the unit? Or does the unit when it is first set up install the selected voice from the original card into internal memory (I presume it has some) and it will just keep using that voice? Are there any other issues re uploading new maps? I'd be grateful for step by step advice on the process.
