Hi everyone. I've just become the proud owner of a Quest and now trying to get to grips with it!
Could you please spell out for me how to avoid motorways? How is this possible in the avoidances screen (Toll roads doesn't seem to cover it!)
Also what's the difference between shortest distance and faster time, best route and better route?
Any advice appreciated. |

Garmin call Motorways "Highways".
The Quest knows the speeds of the roads so if you ask for Faster time then it will take you on a motorway and main roads even if the distance is longer.
Shortest means take the shortest route regardless.
Best and better determine how many possible routes the Quest will consider when calculating the route. There is a trade off between finding the best route and the time taken to calculate the route. _________________ Gone fishing! |
