Easy GPS

Does anybody know if the Streetpilot 320c will accept waypoints created by Easy GPS. As the 320c does not allow the creation of Waypoints using its own software I wondered if this would be a workaround. I am a bit reluctant to try it in case I damage my 320c and wondered if anyone has any experience.

Garmin have been making GPS receivers since the dawn of time. Consequently, there's a huge range of them - all with slightly different features and functionality.

The communications protocol that EasyGPS would use to talk to your StreetPilot is very robust, and has been designed to cope with this huge range of models and features.

If your StreetPilot doesn't understand something that EasyGPS tells it (in this case, a waypoint) - then it will probably just ignore it. At worst, you might get an error message.

I really can't see how you could damage anything...
