[i3] Deleting "Recent Finds"

I would be grateful for help please in deleting "Recent Finds". I highlight the "Find" I wish to delete and hold down centre wheel. On next screen I highlight "Delete" and press centre wheel. I am asked to confirm the delete which I do. Then not only does it not delete the "Find" it places an unwanted "Save Map Point" in the "Recent Finds". I now have all my original "Finds" plus a dozen "Save Map Points" Is it me or the Garmin at fault? Am I doing the delete correctly.

There is no way to delete recent finds.

What you're doing is going into Recent Finds highlighting one and then triggering the Mark This Location by holding down the scroll wheel. When you select delete it then deletes the location mark you've just set and not the recent find.
