Garmin nuvi 300

Can somebody PLEASE tell me:
Is it possible to SAVE map software on Nuvi 300 as a back up and when in trouble RE load it back to the unit.
I have accidently delited map from it's memories by mistake but dealer was kind to me and gave me brand new replacement.

Yes - just back up to your hard drive (it appears as a drive in My Computer under Windows XP)

Copy the whole lot across is easiest, and copy back to the Nuvi, should the worst ever happen

And remember to back-up again whenever you update the software
