Imorting new speed camera database (over write question)

Just wanted to ask when you upload the new speed camera database to the garmin I3 does it over write the existing database or not as i would like to know if it keeps the old databas on the card and if so what happens when the card gets full!

Just wanted to know how it works wether when using the POI loader it just over writes the old database, Thanks
