Help, I'm new to GPS, I have a Garmin i3 and need to know how to find somewhere that doesn't have a 'house' number or is already installed such as a particular shop (John Lewis in Cheadle) I know the post code but it then asks for a house number, which of course it doesn't have, I have tried other options but no joy. Any ideas? Sorry if it is a bit simplistic for this forum! |

I dont know the i3 but on most garmins if after entering the postcode it asks for house No you can just press done and it will take you to the general postcode area (normally about 6 houses)

Oh and nothing is too simplistic for us on this site , we are all quite simple ourselves

Yes, entering 0 as the house number does work, but for it to work properly you need to be using software version 2.7, any older than 2.7 and it will only work for postcode searches using the number "0" 3 times after that it will just keep taking you back to whatever postcode you entered third. _________________ Garmin Streetpilot i3,
