Peoples opinions on the I3 compared to other products

just a thought folks.....
i am a newby here but not new to using sat nav (see my website, i have literally been around the uk with a satnav system)..my point....
after reading various remarks throughout the forum i have come across some folk who seem to..well...whinge about the i3 not giving the quickest route - Well pardon my ignorance but if you know the way already why use bleedin sat nav, lets remember that sat nav is an aid, to folk who dont know where they are going - so if you dont know where you are going but put your faith in the i3 or any other satnav then you will get there, hook or by crook! - but for those who wish to argue the point that they 'know a quicker route' then bleedin use it!! and leave the sat nav disabled!!! - its a bit of a peter kay thing really aint it!
What are other peoples opinions???

I'm firmly in the "it gets me there quicker and safer than I could by using maps" camp. No GPS system (even the ones that link to traffic news) can guarantee that they'll choose the fastest route every time. There's only been two times where I've not wanted to do the route it chose and then by taking another route and getting it to recalculate I got a better route.

I'd have to agree with you there - if you know a better route, take it - otherwise listen to the SatNav. Simple really... 8)
