Faulty POIs -> dead C310, any ideas?

Hi, yesterday I was adding some POIs to my Streetpilot C310 and it looks like some of the files were corrupted; to make it short, now C310 won't start anymore (actually it behaves in quite a strange manner: when running on battery it will start, show the bootsplash and then just switch off, while it will hang at the bootsplash when running on external alimentation). I tried the master reset trick which is supposed to work on C320 (310 hardware is exactly the same, AFAIK) but it just won't work.

Any ideas?

what is the "master reset trick?". Have you removed the front cover and pressed the reset button?

If you have already done this, you could try booting the unit with the memory card ejected, then putting it back in again.

Other things to try: Garmin technical support, upgrade the firmware, as this may reset the unit.
