g start detects c320 unit, but POI loader does not???

Hi there, Im a newbie on here and just bought the streetpilot c320.
Having installed the necessary drivers from the supllied cds my unit was successfully detected by my pc. Each time I connect my unit to the pc the 'map install' program loads up, asking which maps I would like to transfer to the c320. I already have city select europe pre-installed.
However, I have since downloaded and installed the Garmin POI loader on my pc. I'm tearing my hair out as POI loader won't detect my c320 but g start will??? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

After a bit of a tinker around, I found the problem was solved simply by updating the firmware to version 4.80, the option to load POIs was then available in the g start menu. I have since added many POI's and tested the safety cameras around the local area, amazing bit of kit!
