David, Welcome to the forum, I sugest you need some new batteries, get the highest capacity you can, this is specified in mA - go for at least 2500mA with the correct charger its cheaper in the long run than using copper top disposable units - Mike

Wow! Where do you work (if you don't mind us asking!)

Watch out or you will have a steady stream of new friends wanting you to buy gadgets for them. Wink

Didn't some people have this problem with v2.7? What version are you using?

I had this problem on cheap alkaline batteries only yesterday...Would turn off virtually straight away despite showing full power.

I usually use 2500mah rechargeables, and get about five hours of continous use out of them and maybe three if lots of turning off and on.

Cheaper to go for decent rechargebles in the long run and does away with the unsightly wire

Agree go for the best batteries you can get (there are 3,200mA AA size cells available now - if you can find them) but use the charger lead at the same time as it reduces the burden on the batteries, you will get considerably longer usage this way - Mike
