i3 missing postcode search and address search........

Just got my i3 and seem to be having some difficulties. My i3 doesn't come up with a postcode or an address search option on the screen and seems to continually ask me to use the provided software to load maps. I wasn't provided with any software except a driver disc. Please help me!

Not seen any previous reports pertaining to this problem.
Did you buy the I3 as new?
Where did you buy it from?
I think this problem may occur if the transflash card is a backup copy or maybe corrupted.
Perhaps it's a returned unit?
Might be worth exchanging it for another unit.

Thank you for the info, I finish early tommorow so I will return it for an exchange at Argos and see if the new one is going to play fair!

sometimes removing the card and baterries then replacing them may solve this
