I assume that by using the 6 bitmaps you mention you don't get a speed alert that shows the actual speed limit? |
Yes you are right when you view in show map mode but when in navigation you get the correct alerts. |

any .csv files in your poi folder that get uploaded to the i3 appear as 'folders' on the i3. |

Hi,
I bought an i3 recently and its unreal. I live in Ireland and the speed traps database doesn't cover over here.
How do you create Speed trap files. I tried editing one of the csv files (using Excel, saved as csv) and loaded the file into the unit. It reports two points added (correct) but I cant see them in the 'Custom Points' option.
I am using viaMichelin to figure out the latitude and longditude. |

I would like to help keep the database of speedcameras up to date but I don't know the best way. I can 'mark' a new one as I pass it and a number are now gone (e.g. M6 J32ish and the M25 around Heathrow). It throws up the question of how to recover a POI generated by the user holding the i3 scroll button from its memory to PC. Can I import easily new positions? Or easily identify from the database defunct installations??

There is no easy way a present, you need (to purchase) Mapsource.
Collectively we need to bombard Garmin to give us this ability. |
