I had this happen to me a couple of weeks ago after about 1 weeks use - I just figured at the time I hadn't made a good enough connection. Stuck it back on & it has been OK since - maybe keep removing the unit from the window mounting when leaving the car weakens the suction over a period of time? |

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase these as a separate accessory, as I think it would then make it a bit easier to share the unit between two different vehicles.?
Thanks. |

As with most accessories for the i3 - I think they are all in the pipeline, but Garmin just haven't gotten around to releasing them yet (probably far too busy trying to keep up with the production demand for the i3s). |

I take my I3 out of the car every time I leave it. I have transferred window mount between 3 cars in the last 2 weeks and had no problems at all with the suction holder |

I contacted Garmin in case my window mount was faulty, straight away they offered to send a new one free of charge, this arrived the next day, pretty impressive customer service !

I do not know if I was supposed to, but I licked my window mount before sticking it on the screen and it is on there solid as a rock. |

No problems here, though I’m getting far better purchase when mounting the suction cup on the flattest part of the screen. It doesn’t feel so secure when mounting near to the windscreen pillar where the glass has a tighter curve. I’ve mounted above the rear view mirror where the glass is virtually flat.
I’m also looking for additional cups so I can move it between cars. I’ve not found a UK supplier yet. Garmin list it at $14 on their US site but don’t ship internationally! |
