Is this possible? I want to do a master reset and have 100+ custom waypoints. |

If you have mapsource you can save them on that, then reload after your reset. If not, I'm not sure. |

I do have mapsource for my other units but this is on my machine back at home, I will try at the weekend. |

Sorry to resurrect this, but I have a similar issue, and not sure this thread was all conclusive.
I would like the facility to backup custom points I've stored on the move. There is a suggestion in this thread that the answer is to download mapsource.
I thought this was a product you had to pay for, and needed an unlock code? Or is it the case that the "raw" mapsource will work for backing up purposes, but I just wont be able to view maps on it?
Please help!

I read recently somewhere on here that there was a FREE version of mapsource somewhere but I can't find it anywhere not sure if was worldmap or similar?

unfortunetly mapsource 6.8 on garmins site is an upgrade so you need a previous version ..i have in the past offered to send a copy of 'garmin world map' (which has an old version of mapsource on it) to whoever wanted one but i have been told since that this is illegal and i am committing piracy, so ,not wanting to offend anyone i have to stop ,sorry.... _________________ *************************** |
